Manic Monday hands down, but I don't really know any other songs that he wrote for other people that are as famous at that.

It's funny cuz when I listened to 1999 a few weeks ago, I made the connection that he recycled the melody for Manic Monday. But both of those hold a special place in my heart.

I suppose there's a difference between writing a song for specifically for a person, a person covering one of Prince's songs, or an unreleased song that Prince did originally for himself as a demo but later gave away to someone.

As examples:

Manic Monday was originally for one of the Vanity projects I believe, a demo existed before.

Nothing Compares 2 U is a cover of the song Prince wrote for The Family and appeared on their album.

Chaka Khan's I Feel 4 U is also a cover of an earlier Prince song.

Whereas Sugar Walls was specifically written for Sheena Easton.

There are various demo songs Prince did that he later gave to Mavis Staples.

Love, Thy Will Be Done and the songs Prince did with Martika are some of my favourites.
