On a few MJ forums, rumours are flying that Michael went to see Prince because he wants to approach him about doing a Vegas show with him. Apparently it was will.i.am's idea. If it happened it'd be a regular show where MJ would do a few solo performances, Prince would do a few solo performances, and then they'd do a few performances together (most likely James Brown and Sly Stone covers). I don't know what to think of the idea. I'd definately love it, because they are my top 2 favourite artists. But I think Prince is fine on his own, and I think Michael will be fine on his own. Neither one needs the other to succeed and I think there are too many Prince fans who hate MJ, and too many MJ fans who hate Prince for it to work. You'd either get MJ/Prince fans not buying tickets becuase they hate Prince/MJ too much. Or you'd get MJ fans booing/walking out during Prince's part of the show, and Prince fans booing/walking out during Michael's part of the show. They've also never performed together so I don't know how well they'd work together on the same stage. The only way I can see a duet performance working is if Prince played guitar or piano while MJ sung. It could be kinda cool. As long as they both checked their egos at the door, it could work.

^ I agree. I doubt Prince would ever say yes, though. BUT you never know with him.
Will.i.am is said to be working on MJ's upcoming album so MJ was probably his date to the show. [Edited 2/19/07 6:02am] Baby, that was much too fast... 1958-2016

Ummm...that sounds horribly like Prince doing backup for Michael Jackson......there's not a snowball's chance in hell of that happening!! As for the either keeping their ego's in check...I'm sure you that you're aware of what happens when the moon crosses in front of the sun, aren't you? Santana ones said the same thing,if Prince and MJ would want 2 work 2gether. He also said he really would like 2 see this happen one day, because they both are so talented. Love4oneanother

Prince would NEVER do this. And thank God for that. It would absolutely not "be kinda cool". And if will.i.am actually presented this idea, he is a total idiot and should be banished from Prince's presence. Ask where they're going, they'll tell U – "Nowhere"

MJ would need Prince for his success more than the other way around. I really don't think P would be interested, and if he would do, I'd be kinda mad!

Wow, I spend the weekend away from the org, and look what happens! MJ goes to a Prince show!
Honestly tho, if Michael does want to aproach Prince for a collaboration, it wouldn't be the first time. I don't know if he'll ever wear P down. Still, I think they would get along in a social setting. Prince stuck up for MJ in 2000, and told people that they should just leave him alone. I think deep down, they respect eachother. Sometimes I think it would be weird for MJ and Prince to perform together. I don't know if it's just me, but after the whole child molestation thing, I get kind of depressed when I think about MJ. Then I think about all the bad press a performance like that could get, even if it was a good performance...
But then sometimes, I think it would be awesome to see them performing and working together, since they're such great artists, and that I like both of their music. wonder505 said: Now you know how Prince sometimes walks the club during the show. If he would have passed MJ's table I think everyone would have held their breaths to see what happens.
What if they had shook hands---I think that would have caused a major ripple in the universe. [Edited 2/18/07 9:27am] I know - right? It's so unbelievable.

NO, it's not just you- but I don't get depressed, I'm FURIOUS! I can't believe he's getting away with it. Listen, I work in social services with kids and am trained in spotting child predators. MJ fits every red flag there is- and that's without even considering the fact he was actually accused in court. What depresses me is how many MJ fans live in denial. Prince is no fool- he'll stay as far away from MJ as he possibly can. Ask where they're going, they'll tell U – "Nowhere"

Apparently, Michael thought so. At one point, he even dangled Prince out over a balcony. According to eyewitnesses, P spent the rest of the night lookin' for MJ, yellin', "Where are u?!?!....ANSWER ME, MOTHERFUCKER!!!!!"
