I think Prince is perhaps one of MJ's biggest influences. It is similar to how Janet Jackson follows Madonna by releasing her own version of what Madonna releases first.

Many of aspects of MJ's style in both his music and his appearance were originally presented by Prince or Prince associated artists, including Vanity and The Time in my opinion.

My brother went to the show on friday and said it was damn good. Gnarles got up and did that Crazy song, Prince did alot of old stuff including 17 days,I wanna b your lover,anotherloverholeinyohead,girls&boys....and yes MJ was there as well as George Clinton,,,,I asked my brother if Prince acknowledged that MJ was in the audience and he said "he barely acknowledged the artists that went up on stage w/him to perform....and he didnt say anything about MJ, you know how Prince is"...I thought that was cool...P has always rolled that way. He acts like nobody can touch him,,,which is true.

I have been watching entirely too much of that show "Criminal Minds" to objectively respond to this thread...so I'll just do this...
