He told them to move them (or remove them) so that the fans could be as close to the stage as possible.
In general, I suppose he has his certain little rituals--drinking tea w/honey, burning incense, getting his voice ready, deciding what to wear...trying to teach the Twinz how to sing...oh wait, scratch that last one, obviously that's not part of the ritual. LOL! Yeah, he'd never make it out on stage, again!

I'd like 2 think he would be praying 2 God, that his performance would be pleasing to Him & that God would give inspiration 2 help him w/ an outstanding performance. I hope he's being introspective!

He prefers Playstation.... I'd need a nap if I was going to be exerting that much energy for a long period of time! Hell, I take a nap before I go to watch a concert! yeah that's it. he's probably playing Guitar Hero 2! "There's only three things for sure in life. I once saw Bootsy Collins at the Brixton Academy. The JB Horns finished around 9pm. The roadies then adjusted equipment until past midnight before Bootsy came on. What were they doing? The JB Horns was Bootsy's band minus Bootsy - nothing got shifted on or off stage!

During the Hit N Run shows 2000 era. Prince would meet with local radio station dj's and talk about the state of radio/the music industry. He would also meet with some less fortunate for Make A Wish foundation.
I suppose things changes year to year with P. Sometimes it maybe he had a late night before and doesn't get things going until later in the night.

When a Prince show - specifically a 'regular' show, not an aftershow - starts an hour or two (or more) late....uhhhh...what exactly IS it that he's doing back there? I mean, he's a little notorious for going on stage no sooner than he feels like tippytapping those heels up to the microphone, but come on...what could be so important that he has to keep a house full of people waiting? Is he finishing a crossword puzzle or a game of Jenga? Is he catching up on a few episodes of Lost that one of his assistants recorded for him? Is he finishing a Harry Potter book? Is he baking cupcakes for the band? WHAT IS HE DOING BACK THERE?!?! We need a PrinceCam to answer these questions. But until then...what is YOUR guess? [Edited 2/17/07 9:48am] Trying to remember the lyrics and demanding his assistent to have them sing to him?

I've never been to a show, small club or stadium, that started on time. I don't mind waiting, I just want to know what the hold up is. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Heh I've only been to a few concerts in my life (I know, I'm deprived). Jesse McCartney (Pt. Pleasant '03 b4 he became "famous") American Idol Season 3 (ugh, thanx to Fantasia, wasn't as crazy about it) American Idol Season 4 (most likely my favorite cuz I liked a lot of the finalists) The Click 5/Jesse McCartney (Six Flags Great Adventure) That last one was the only one that didn't start on time and I really felt like I was "jipped" because JMac made us wait 45 minutes. I wondered what the hold up was myself and to this day, I don't think I'll ever figure out why. But I really took it hard, mostly becuz they played the same Maroon 5 songs over and over (for some reason, I thought they were called Moron 5,but now i have a reasoning for it). Along with the fact that the guy isn't as pleasing to the ear when he sings live, waiting for him just burned me up I guess it's because he started on time at the last concert... before he was "famous" in the way that more people knew who he was. One bad experience still wasn't enough for me to stop liking him. Back to Prince. Because of his unorthodox way of doing things and his personality being as puzzling as it is, I'd let him get away with making me wait if the time comes when I finally do see in him concert. Because a) I know it's all worth the wait (and money) and b) I'm sure he has some legitimate reason and even if he doesn't, I'd let him get away with it because of a), and c) it's a guaranteed to be a spectacle. If I can, I see him do his songs live on the videos I've found and I'm never disappointed. had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone
