Hi, i'm going to a "stars of stage and screen" party next week and i want to go as "the Kid" from purple rain.
But i've no idea where to start. Can anyone give me any ideas.

You need a ruffled shirt, black pants, high heeled boots, long purple coat, jeri curl wig, drawn on mole, eye liner, billowing chest hair, round sunglasses. Arrive on a purple motorcyle with a shapely brunette in lingerie as your date, and you're done! Good luck.

I got a ruffled shirt at Kohl's. You can tight black pants anywhere nowadays. Look for a purple blazer at Target, or someplace like that, if you're on a budget. Maybe even try a second hand store. Not sure what to do about the jeri curl wig, since Halloween is long over, but a costume shop might be able to hook you up. If you don't have billowing chest hair, just yank a handful off of the wig, and attach it to your chest using some sort of skin safe adhesive. Draw on your mole, line your eyes, and be prepared for people to ask you if you are a pirate!

Ebay might be able to hook you up also.

Whatever you do, DON'T buy this costume! Everyone will think you're Austin Powers!

I'll check out some charity shops. I'm in the UK so we dn't hav shope like Target.

I'll have a search this week and if i'm no further i may have to change my mind and go as someone else lol
