Prince and Elton John Duet? Pop veteran SIR ELTON JOHN is refusing to slow down ahead of his 60th birthday next month (25MAR07) - he's working double shifts in Las Vegas. As well as preparing for his spectacular birthday concert at New York City's Madison Square Garden, performing regular concerts, and working on a theatre production of PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT, the busy star somehow found time to fit two shows into one evening earlier this week (begs12FEB07). After wowing crowds at Caesars Palace, the ROCKET MAN singer had a quick changeover before joining PRINCE at nearby hotel the Rio, where they thrilled fans with a duet of BEATLES hit THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD, according to the New York Daily News.
Is this true? Anyone see this? http://www.myspace.com/savage1999uk

Is this true? Anyone see this? I was there -- and it wasn't a duet. Before his final "regular" number, Prince acknowledged Elton in the house. Elton then went backstage (he walked right past me -- my guy shook his hand) and came out to sing the first encore. They got the song right (The Long and Winding Road), but Elton sang it alone. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I still would have loved to see that. I was a crying, hysterical mess at the Elton concert I went to in Sept. because I have loved him since I was 3 years old. Seeing Prince and him in the same room would probably give me a heart attack. Wanna hear me sing? www.ChampagneHoneybee.com

hmmm...well, it was actually quite interesting to see Elton on stage at the Rio. He did well, but, Prince still is my favorite! Elton seemed to dig Shelby 2. ~honey is b-ing 1 with the 1~

No. Prince wasn't even onstage when Elton performed. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
