Associated with Prince. I am thinking a previous or current band member, a collaborator, a family member, a friend, a member of an associated band, Who would it be and why?

I know a strange question, which hopefully is not going to get targetted for a different forum (hello, associated artists).

Give you an example. To be as cool as I perceive Dez Dickerson to be, I would have enjoyed living his life in the early days of touring with Prince, wearing the headband, playing what was likely the hardest rocking concerts of Prince's career. Being part of a touring band, when P was not likely too self-absorbed or off-limits. Would have been great to been Dez in those years.

I have another person in mind, but want to see if anyone else picks her/him, If indeed anyone responds at all to this hypothetical thread!

I would either want to be his best friend, or his girlfriend.

my first reaction would be to say Sheila, just because I respect her so much and they seem to have remained so close.

But to be honest, I think I would most just want to be me but know him as a friend. Not family, since that isn't always the strongest relationships, and not band member, since there's been so much turnover.

Ugg, did not anticipate everyone would be saying Sheila E. . That is exactly who I was thinking of when I started this thread. I think she first met him in the very early recording years, then to be opening PR shows, and playing drums during SOTT and LS eras. Skip most of the bitter 90s with Prince, then be there for some key moments in the 2000s. And to be that awesomely talented, beautiful, and charitable.

This dude probably had the closest musical relationship with Prince during arguably his most creative period 1984-1989. I play trumpet and love jazz. Plus I kind of look like him (tall, skinny and orange ).

Lisa Coleman, for a variety of reasons.

Lena Morgan. Few acts are more intimate than feeding someone.

His father. I'd be playing music with him, teach him good stuff, have nice man to woman-man talks, support him in his decisions, give him my opinions on his choices. We'd shoot pools and hang out together, go to church, read...whatever fathers and sons do.

I would be (this is going to sound bad) whichever woman he had the most sex with.

Andre Cymone because he was extremely talented and was the first to put his foot down and not take no shit from Prince. Also, he was very handsome. If I was him, the first thing I would do is unzip my pants and check out my piece.

She was in the band, she got to make an album, her job was to dance to Prince music and be a full time muse, but most of all
