It is just PART of a song. I love it, buttttt.... everytime I hear it, I feel like I am missing the intro...

Just listened to the Prince-written Sunday Afternoon by Candy Dulfer from Sax-A-Go-Go. Nice track, actually.

It kinda fits in nicely with the Times Squared stuff

And ain't it great she picked THAT song to play, instadof an easy Prince hit of the day?

I am SO happy I decided to post this while back. This entire playlist went up in smoke when I transfered all my files to another external harddrive.

So I was able to use this thread to re-assemble the enitre playlist!

Woohoo!

San Jose Jam (music club download)
Habibi (aka machinegun)
Brand New Orleans (although that goes better along with S.T.D.)

S.S.T. (Sade's Sweetest Taboo)

wink

(unless you mean some other song, that I don't know of)

Can Computer Blue be included, since it is 90% instrumental???

This is Prince at his finest. nod
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

On YOUR list he can, but on my list, no. It is not an instrumental.

Certain tracks, like 2 Nigs United 4 West Compton's exteded vocal intro, were edited, just leaving the voices scanting the title. And other tracks, like The Rainbow Children Pr II (mock title nicked from Thieves In The Temple Pt II) that essentially have the same done to them like you are suggesting I do with Computer BLue, just seem to work better.

It is just a matter of taste. The second part of T.R.C. works VERY well cut loose from the actual song, where as the second part of Computer Blue is, imho, too much attached to the actual song, too much ingrained into the actual song, making me miss the vocal part.
