What's the story behind the America 12"? What's the story behind the America 12"? How did it end up being 21:59 seconds long!? Is that Prince's longest real song (not counting 'music' like N.E.W.S.)? The "America" 12 Inch is just too damn long. I have no problem with songs being long, the longer the better, but once it gets into the extended part, it hardly ever changes up. It just repeats the same stuff over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.
