Foo Fighters say Prince outdid them on their song!

Quite interesting flame war going on between some Foo fans over the Prince cover.

Speaking of songs, need feedback on a new one. "Multiple Realities" at http://www.myspace.com/marceljames

Some of my faves from the Foos board:

"aw...did prince get the best of you, foo fighters?"

"C'mon people!
Game, Blouses."

"The real news story here is that he didn't play Raspberry Beret. Why did Prince gotta go and diss us like that?"

"I'll put down Prince along with David Bowie on my list of 'artists who I'm sure are amazing and everyone seems to like but I just can't seem to care about'."

"If i would of seen that out of the context of this article i would of been so fucking confused."

But the best one has to be this gem:
"Everyone I talked to about this thought it was offensive towards the Foo Fighters.
Then again, everyone I talked to thought Prince also covered Darling Nikki from the Foo Fighters."

I don't think he did it better than the Foo Fighters. But I would love to know his reason behind it after raising such a stink over their cover of Darling Nikki.

After watching the half time show a few times this is what I took from the song selections. Prince loves Queen, We will Rock U got the crowd pumped and sent a message at the very beginning that Prince was about too ROCK (which he did) 1999 which he retired was just an intro done by the marching band. Baby I'm A Star" was a reminder 2 those who may of forgotten him (record company a-holes) Rolling on the River" Tina Turner covered Baby I'm A Star" Appreciation to her, and another way of saying "It ain't Over People" All along the Watchtower was about the old Prince- The Best of U" was a shout out 2 other artist in the bizunder constricting contracts. As much he has been portraid as a Fool over his name change and all the drama with the record companies, now we can see that it was all worth it 2 him. Because we are in the Now and he is starting to rise up and take his just due. Purple Rain never sounded so good, which seemed 2 have a ring of Victory 2 it.

This is "just my imagination" running away with me lol

PRINCE ABSOLUTELY BLEW IT OUT OF THE PARK! BETTER THAN ANYONE - PERIOD.
