I tried to search through the forum to see if this was discussed (It's been a little while since I have been here), and I couldn't find any reference. I loaded up my music service and it presented me with this.....

Where did this come from? Is this a compilation from the ONA tour? Authorized by Prince? Does anyone have any background or can you point me to a thread that talks about it? I am just about to hit play and see if it is any good.

yea I bought it on iTunes...and it is the One Night Alone Live album except that they include 5 tracks from the controversy album that are not live at all! What a rip off. But still, the Live tracks are so good you need to get them if you dont have them!

Well, okay, I have had my listen....

Uptown, 1999, Controversy, Dirty Mind, IWBYL, Little Red Corvette are definitely NOT live.

I am pretty sure that Pop Life, Push, Strange Relationship are from the Live at the Aladin DVD

1+1+1=3, Pass the Peas, Family Name, Take Me With You, have to be from ONA tour (can't remember if these are the recordings from LATA DVD or if these are from the Box set, or it they are other recordings from ONA tour)

Not sure where Gotta Broken Heart Again, Whole Lotta Love, I Would Die 4 You or Shadows in the Dark came from.

Any ideas? I am still interested in finding out where the heck this CD came from though.....
