Dorothy Parker performance on Leno

Hello all,
I have read many good things about Prince's performance of Dorothy Parker on Leno. BUT I have never heard that version. IS it like the version on One Nite ALone: the Aftershow? I really like that version.

If anyone could give me your thoughts and description of Prince's performance on Leno, I would greatly appreciate it. When was it?

Wishful thinking there

Yeah, it's similar to the It Ain't Over! CD, but a little more laid back and a lot shorter.

Geneva (his dancer at the time) was dressed as a waitress and went around the band taking oders while they played. It was choreographed so that by the time she got to Prince, he sang the line "yeah, let me order a fruit cocktail, I ain't too hungry".

Najee (flute), Prince (fender rhodes), John Blackwell (drums) all took brief solos at the end. Great performance!

It's AMAZING! Seriously, one of my fave performances of all! It was jazzy, it was creative, he played a rhodes solo, and I was in heaven. cool

To me, it was the epitome of Prince cool. He had long hair hidden under a black bowler hat, and he just looked so artsy. It was the way I had always wanted to see him.
