I think he's about as upset as anyone would be about a 39 year old woman who died only months after losing her only son and leaving an infant daughter behind. Other than that, he probably wasn't fazed. I graduated bitches!!! 12-19-09   | |

What I meant was that Prince could be included in a group of people that feel sad that a little girl has to grow up without her mother. I never knew that Prince was a Marilyn Monroe fan. Anyway, I don't think he would be any more saddened by these tragic events than anyone else at the moment. They weren't best friends are anything. Personally, I find Anna Nicole's passing waay sadder than Marilyn Monroe's. I never was a big Marilyn fan...always thought that she was extremely over-rated (same way I feel about Pamela Anderson and Paris Hilton). Anyone who has to change their name, their image, and keep as many secrets as Marilyn chose to keep gets no kudos from me. The only thing Anna had in common with Marilyn in my opinion was the similar physical appearance, they both posed for Playboy, and they both more than likely OD'ed. I don't know how big a Marilyn fan Prince is/was, but in his bedroom in Purple Rain there are several pictures of her on the wall, and he does mention her in an outtake, Girl o' My Dreams (along with Lena Horne and some others). Just for the record, Marilyn didn't pose for Playboy. She posed nude for a calendar before she became "Marilyn" and several years later Hugh Hefner chose that photo for the centerfold of the first issue of his new magazine, Playboy. She did die of barbitute overdose, but I believe it was murder made to look like suicide. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass.
