Don't tell me this isn't a wonderful, deep Prince album...

I'd add a few, and remove a few. That NPG operator always got on my nerves.

everyone will have their own version of a perfect prince album or mixtape, but i think it's pretty cool that a young fan can make his own mix consisting entirely of post-'80s music. it means that prince's newer music is connecting with young people. maybe not to the extent that his '80s output did, but still.

so when you go to a prince concert in ten or twenty years, not everyone will need a cane to get around.

Thats just the most bizarre random collection of songs Ive seen grouped together as an album - Im lost for words.

As someone said, the brilliance of Prince's music is that it is a complete goldmine of styles, genres, outtakes, B-Sides, Extended versions, Live versions. You can have a rock album, a funk album, a pop album, a jazz album a 90's album, there is just so much we can do with his music to make it fresh and even better to our own ears. Thats part of what keeps me addicted.

Do you know how many hours Ive laboured over creating the perfect Prince compilation, and Im still no nearer to acheiving it.

This is my favorite reply so far. You're right.. it's awesome that I can put together a Prince album to play while I ride around with my friends ( blunt ) and listen to. I guarantee if I put in Purple Rain, it'd be a different ballgame. His newer stuff is fresh and interesting to our ears after hearing nothing but Top 40 Pop on the radio growing up.

That's why he will always be my favorite artist, and the symbol tattoo on my arm represents a musical renaissance, so to speak, for myself upon discovering Prince.

but you did put in Darling Niki... my (younger) girlfriend took me to see a Suicide Girls burlesque show, and one girl danced to Darling Niki, and my girl didn't know what it was.
