I just recently finally purchased the Euro tracked CD. To be honest, I never skip a track when I play it, go figure...
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Exactly. This was one time that Prince made a great decision. I would have liked to be in on that meeting with the Warner Bros executives.

Suit: "...so, you want it tracked as one? This ain't classical music!"

Purps: "Yes. And you'll do it, or I'll write 'WB sucks' on my cheek or something like that."

Yeah I have an untracked one but bought the tracked about a year ago. I used to not like Dance On but the years of conditioning from the 1 track means it's now grown on me and I don't skip anything either.

I tracked it myself. I don't skip any songs, but I like to put the songs in playlists.

US version is untracked

Avoid an 'import' version.

The catalogue number printed in the top left-hand corner on the back of the CD is in the original cursive font on the older, 1-track version, but is in a plainer, standard font on the new, tracked version.

I could see that back in the day. Man, I think Walmart finally got over themselves. I went to Walmart looking for a Bobby Brown CD last month, and I saw Dr. Dre The Chronic for sale. lol

Nah, it went rather like this:

Suit: "...so, you want it tracked as one?"
Purps: "Yes."
Suit: "Well that's alright, nobody's going to be buying this in CD format anyway. That thing never took off like it was supposed to have had.
Purps: "Ain't that the truth."

thank GOD for my vinyl love

I do have a tracked version as well
but like most I barely skip any tracks

I really dislike album wraps though
like an 8-track tape

I don't really care for the first song or "Glam Slam". I would probably skip those if I could.

No! That's my favorite! I wish I had the tracked version, so I could put it on repeat.

I got the 12 inch
I play it over & over too
there's an extended version
on the bside if I'm not mistaken
I had that one since a kid

@ Cee - HOOOOOW could you skip over "Eye No"/"Glam Slam"
I don't know... I always loved "Glam Slam"
and Eye No I liked at first listen
I used to play up until "hundalisiliah" (sp)
then the beat drops...
and the lil percussion break with the horns...
I love how it cranks up...
but then I would skip it to Alphabet St.
I can't deny it now though
love "Eye No" love

most of Prince's catalog
took me several spins to get into though

I'm still working on the 90's neutral

I just would rather start at "Alphabet St".

And what I meant to say is I wouldn't skip over any of the other songs.
