I would love to hear a set of the best songs from post WB. Prince owns all the masters so he could do it if he wanted. There's alot of great songs on mediocre albums such as 'The one' 'come on' etc so compiling everything would be great; anyone agree?

If he builds any kind of momentum after the Superbowl, and gains new fans, this would be a nice idea to introduce them to some of the out-of-print and/or online stuff. I think it would do much better as a real rarities box set rather than something people could mistake for another new sprawling 3CD set in the vein of Emancipation.

I can imagine a nice 3CD set, if done well with clear liner notes, a great booklet and packaging (and a few new/vault songs), could be welcomed by all (yes, even many on the org).

I always hoped for a "Prince / The Hits volume 3" put together in much the same way as the WB "The Hits"

Yes! I loved "The Artist", even though he could be a little difficult at times.

i dont need a boxset since i have the albums, all of which are loaded onto my ipod..so a boxset does me no good...now a box set with post WB previously unreleased, im there!

Is there a reason why Come, TGE and Chaos and Disorder have been left off of any WB COmp? I thought they own the masters of those.

Why there is not a Post WB set is probably because the rights would involve several record companies and not just one. Though one would think that since Emancipation, all deals are "I own the masters" and "You own this record to promote". And that he could do whatever he wanted with the tracks.
