That is the truth...that was something the Brothers did back then to keep their hair in place, part of our culture. If you look at the movie "The 5 Heartbeats" I believe there is a part that show some of the actors wearing one. I remember seeing the movie Why Do Fools Fall In Love, and the young version of Little Richard wore the exact same rag. It was total De Ja Vu at the time cause it was weeks after I had seen Prince perform Fury and he was wearing it. Made me realize just how big of an influence Little Richard was on Prince. BTW, Little Richard in the courtroom scene was FUCKING HILARIOUS!! I dont see the big deal about the rag though. It didnt even look bad. It just looked...well...Princeish.
