After listening to guitar several times,the instruments that are used and the way it's arranged, it sounds like it could easily be from mid 1986 to early 1987. Of course this is just speculation, but this song could have fit on Dream Factory perfectly. You can hear how it has elements of "Girls and Boys" and "Mia Bocca" in the beat and guitar work has that sound that lead to the fore in SOTT. But like I said just speculation as this could have been a song Prince just whipped together over the last few weeks. It's definitely a feeler song for the audience. Prince just may have returned to the form that we love from him with an updated "80's" sound in the present day. I love the song and I hope it gets to the radio and we have a video because this could top the charts no problem. If this is indicative of the album to come Prince is going to be number one again. Reminds me of how his albums evolved into the next like in the 80's. Musicology was good, 3121 was fantastic, and ? is dare I say going to great! I hope so. Keep it coming strong Prince!
