New (bootleg) live and studio compilation on iTunes WARNING - This is a boot and will be taken down from iTunes, but since it is (at least temporarily) "officially available" I think it's reasonable to let people know about it, and to post here on the org (mods, if you disagree, feel free to delete):

I just wrote a review, which probably won't get posted, but here it is anyway: This album is a bootleg - not official. Total post-Superbowl cash-in. A lot of these tracks aren't even live - they're just the Warner Bros studio tracks pasted on. The live tracks are taken from the Prince - Live At The Aladdin DVD, which is worth getting just for 1+1+1=3, the most funky live version of this song (or almost any song) I've ever heard.
Shadows In The Dark is not even a Prince song - I don't know who it is, but it sounds nothing like Prince. And the track titled "Push" (a Prince track from Diamonds And Pearls) is actually "Push And Pull" (a Nikka Costa track here played on the Aladdin DVD by Prince and Nikka Costa). AVOID! THIS WILL BE TAKEN DOWN SOON ANYWAY! Of course, if Prince wanted to release a live album on iTunes today, he would totally cash-in and I would have no problem with it at all. | |

actually i am surprised that itunes would even sell a bootleg..they are opening them up to serious litigation by doing that.
