If P is actually going to record a rock project (or at least an album where guitars are more upfront in the audio mix) does this band he has now with C.C. Dunham, Josh Dunham, Renato, and Mr. Hayes have the chops to pull it off. I haven't seen them live in Vegas but I'm curious just how versatile they are as players. Josh for some reason from his tv appaerances with P seems more rehearased than improvisational and same with C.C. Dunham. Some players are good at playing one style of music and for those who have gone to the 3121 gigs at the Rio Hotel tell me if this is true or not in their cases.

If Prince didn't think they were capable,I doubt he'd keep'em around.A rock album with this band would sound fantastic!

good question, i dont think they could cut it. distinct lack of personality in the current line up and the abilty of some memebrs is not up with princes previous standard
