US Fans - Prince Night on TV1!

On TV One they're going to show Purple Rain, Under the cherry moon and Grafiti Bridge this coming saturday. I get that channel on 483 but i'm sure it's different for everyone. Check your local listings!! I'm excited becasuse i've never seen cherry moon and grafiti bridge. are they as good as purple rain?

Might be a good idea to let people know where 'Channel 1' is based, this being an international board an' all....

And to answer your question:

UTCM is fun and nowhere near as bad as critics made it out to be.

Graffiti Bridge however...is like the worst school play you could ever imagine. But on drugs.

Bad drugs.

wow, now i'm even more excited to see grafiti bridge after your review! sounds like my kinda film! biggrin

i'm pretty sure tv one is based here in the states. i guess you could say it's a "black channel" as they shows a lot of programs and movies about african americans. i only discovered it a couple of weeks ago.

every time i talk to him and he mentions something about prince he always mentions the brotha's neck! lol that's cool though, because i guess i sorta made him a fan--he told me that he listens to my old cassette copy of the hits/the b-sides sometimes when he's riding around in his car.

I don't get that channel,
but I do have the DVD.
I'll just play it at the schedule time of the programming,
just so's I can feel like I'm not missing out.

But all I'm gonna watch is Purple Rain, 'kay?

I don't know if the other two pieces of shit were released in DVD form, but if they were,
I'm almost positive that I don't own 'em.

We gonna party, y'all.

The movies will be on until 6am! Stuff like this is one of the pluses of Prince being more mainstream, but I think I'll just watch dvds later cause commercials make me sad

Just got through watching all three movies, and now TV-One is showing them again! woot! This is so awesome, especially since they never seem to broadcast "UTCM" or "GB" on TV anymore.

GB is on at the moment, and lets be honest it really sucks, really when Morris Day is seen as the credible character??

GRAFFITI BRIDGE is almost over and I've struggled through it. wtf! everytime i watch it, i feel embarassed for PRINCE. of course, i see what he was trying 2 do, nothing in this movie works. and that babbling bytch INGRID CHAVEZ. everytime she is on the screen, i'm like: WHAT THE F@CK? in '91 i was saying that if she wasn't in the movie, it would have had a chance. over the years, i've come 2 realize that this may not be the case.

i love the music but i said this movie sucked when it was released and it still sucks.

love UTCM!!!
love PURPLE RAIN!!!
