I urge all those that have never heard this fantastic song to seek it out and those that have, dig it up man! I listened to this tonight for the first time in a while (on The Red Shoes album) and it is fantastic!!

Wow! Kate Bush -- now there's a name I haven't heard in a while. Does anyone know what she's been up to lately? Talk about MIA! Her Red Shoes album was cool and the Prince material made it all the better...

She is currently working on a new album...No specifics have been given..Recently she recieved a Brit Songwriting Award and people who saw it said she was genuinely suprised by the outpouring of support and love...She thanked people for not forgeting her..(which is normally the case when a darn artist doesnt release an album every other year...damn her, its been almost a decaded...errr)

at anyrate, somewhere about the time of this award show i recall reading that she was writing a new album..if and win that happens..who knows..

Yea I also love this song! But I like "hounds of love" more than "the red shoes" album.

agreed...and what i think is soo cool is that Prince had very lil to do with the song, only adding synth or guitar (i cant recall which one) and backing vocals...just like Stand Back for Stevie..but in this case, he never met Kate and corresponded via snail mail.

in both cases, his fans think that he had more involvement..but, i think female songwriteres have a love for him and really get worked up when creating music as an homage to him...i wish he would work more with woman like this..its obvious that females provide him with better inspiration...they elevate him to newer levels..maybe because he doesnt look at them as competition but rather inspirations...with larry g and kirky k all we get is *cock blocking* music..him trying to prove his is the man..with woman we get Sometimes It Snows, When Doves Crys and Adore...

slap the edit!!!

All of you just listen to The Kick Inside.
It is a front to back album; doesn't bore a minute...
Wuthering Heights
The Man With The Smile In His Eyes

And it starts with singing whales. Always a good one...

"My Computer", from 'Emancipation', was also a collaboration of sorts between Prince and Kate Bush ( her vocal on this, though, is nearly inaudible).

UK comedian Lenny Henry takes up the extra vocals Prince didn't record.

Yeah. That Lenny Henry guy always fancied himself as a bit of a Prince poseur... I remember spotting him in the audience, amongst the rest of the celebs the second night Prince performed at Wembley arena on his 'Parade' tour in '86, and he never recovered since then.
Soon afterwards, Lenny began to wear custom made replicas of Prince's zoot-suits, in exactly the same colour scheme as those worn by Prince in the show...
