So where to we go from here??

With the "HIGH" of the Super Bowl, glowing reviews of his performance from fans and non fans, media people. Where do we go....The grammmies? 5 nominations? so far there are only 8 confirmed perfomers, they are looking to add 12 more. It makes alot sense, especially if a tour is in the works or something new.

Didn't we think most of this was coming last year? 312what?

I'm glad he's getting props for the Super Bowl. The performance was kind of lacking to me. Proud Mary, couldn't think of any other songs from HIS catalog? However, I must say Purple Rain in the rain was great, as was the stage. I'm sorry to be a downer, it just wasn't what he's capable of.

UR NO DOWNER MDEAR. i fullyagree-- i thought the performance was a little lacking-- i know he had to tone it down mucho for the red states but cottdamn-- it was a little on the lame side.

Here's hoping for a new album and tour - I missed him during the Musicology run, and today's performance has me getting impatient... biggrin

Seriously though, he seems like he's in a guitar kinda mood lately - I don't know if we'll get a "rock album," per se, but I'd wager it'll be less club/dance oriented than 3121 was.
I've seen the future, and boy it's rough...

I think everyone just missed the point of this show. Its the SUPERBOWL not the Prince show, not the Prince "i gotta pimp my new record show". 99.9% of the people at the superbowl went to see a game not for a Prince Concert. And lets be real, 99% of that crowd knows about 5 Prince Songs. The job of the Superbowl performer is to keep the crowd up not to hit them with 10-15 minutes of songs they never heard before, sure we all wanted to hear something rare, something he would never play, but this wasnt the forum.

If this were the case, I think it would have gone like this: Opens with Little Red Corvette, then into When Doves Cry, then Kiss, a touch of Raspberry Beret and finally Purple Rain. This is a lineup of songs more of the public knows. Personally, it's what I would have liked to have seen. I wasn't expecting something super obscure, I wouldn't want that for that show.
