Just got through watching Purple Rain, and I was wondering what your favorite scenes are. Some of mine are:

- The little booty shake that Prince does at the very end of the song "I Would Die 4 U".
- The password scene with Morris and Jerome - that always cracks me up!
- When Morris says to Prince, "Stick around for awhile, see how it's done!" And then Jerome helps Prince put his jacket on, pinches Prince's cheek and says, "So sexy!"

I just realized that tonight's version of Purple Rain that was shown on TV-One was the "clean version" - the scenes that were considered dirty and all cuss words were cut out.

Apples' purification.

The Kid climbing' all over Mount St.Apples while "God" was playing in the background.

The opening performance(though all were great.)

You know, I think Apple's purification was cut out of the movie tonight. They didn't show the sex scene between Prince and Apples either. They showed the very beginning when they were kissing, but then cut to a commercial.

Oh My god, I love that scene. I swear, it's not quite as bad as Michael Jackson's dancing street gang dance moves, but it's pretty damned close.

I laugh so hard whenever I see that scene.

The band was absolutely throwin' down in that scene! I love whatever the hell that is they were playing and kept hoping they would release it later that year as a B-Side or something.

Another scene I love is when Prince is backstage pacing after a performance. Billy Sparks busts in the door, points his finger at Prince, and hollers, "What the fuck's wrong with you, Kid??" I've always loved that scene, I just love how Billy says that line.

Ya know, it very well could have been. It sounds like "Computer Blue", now that you mention it.

Yeah, I've heard that section in the long version of "Computer Blue" but it doesn't sound as good as they way they were playing it in the movie. A groove that funky needs to the main focus in a song of it's own rather than just a small section in an unrleased track.
