Why would Prince stop signing things becuase he 'reads the bible'? Where does the bible say you should treat your fans like dirt and refuse pictures or autographs?
Does larry g**ham sign autographs? Prince thinks music is a gift from god; so why not celebrate it and sign the cds your fans have bought? It makes no sense at all. [Edited 12/31/06 3:45am] | |

I read alot the Bible in the past but when my friends sasked me 2 sign my demo I DID IT. I consider it an affection gesture... They say me: "... so If a day u will b famous". Maybe after my death

**** thinking about what I've read somewhere, it seems that Prince never loved signing autographs... If its true the fact "he reads the bible" is just a kind way 2 say that he dont this.... thats all! | |

I've always known that Prince never signed autograph.... These days I remembered a moron who told a lie about his Bass being signed by Prince. He was using it 2 impress women, with no success bcuz it was clearly unbelievable.....  | |

I guess it means that you would have sinned in a sense that you were perpetuatuing an idolatry that ppl have or will have towards you. I think that's where he's coming from. He may not think of himself as an idol, but by signing autographs he is perpetuating that belief/behavior in his fans. I get it. I just think that it's a bit extreme. The thought being that there is one GOD and we to worship only him As you say here many people (including myself) consider signing autographs as encouraging idolatry. Its really that simple Dance...
