on the Stern show 1/31/07 at around 10:50am they played the clip of "All Along the Watchtower/Best of You" for a bit longer. Howard joked about Prince's publicist sending the clip and asking them to speculate if Prince will play this at the Superbowl. Howard said that bit would be lame and then want ahead and acted like how Rick Dees or some other DJ would speculate. He said the publicist should have sent Prince! Not the clip!!!

was 'best of you' even enough of a hit for the foos for people to care if prince plays it at the superbowl? i mean, i think the clip sounds great and i'd like to hear it live, but i am cut from a fammier cloth than most football fans and superbowl watchers.

i think the only way he could successfully premiere a new song at the superbowl is if it sampled one of his old songs or if it were a cover. the mainstream's attention span is not tuned to stuff like "te amo corazon" or "cinnamon girl".

ya this is going to be a tough crowd.
