no doubt that RFTW were Prince wanna-be's but I must admit I loved that album back in the day. Played it till the tape wore out! and the follow-up album as well, Long Time Coming. Except for the song "Gently" in '88, it was all down hill for them after that, IMO. Ask where they're going, they'll tell U – "Nowhere"

that was a damn good single and a damn good Prince imitation from the instruments on down to the production and vocals. Like most imitations they had a short shelf life but that single was a fine one. took the melody to Lady Cab Driver and filled out the song with the Minneapolis sound. | |
