Prince puts on a competant, yet overblown show, playing songs that we've heard many times before.

And I can't wait.

You know he will do Song Of The Heart, because the NFL loves those universal themes to exploit as does our media, even though it is mostly about selling products, which is the usual bent of such nonsense. He will do Let's Go Crazy, because the NFL would want him to do a song that the vast majority of people know, since most people who will tune in don't care for Prince.
All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

Is there a televised event in Europe that draws more viewers than the Superbowl? I am not trying to be snarky, I am just curious.....

thought about the eurovision too.
but in sports it is probably the final of the champions legue every year.

@ babydubistzuschnell
the ARD is broadcasting live if that helps.

Snap

Prince knows what he's doing -- getting seen and heard
the finale of American Idol had more than 40-million viewers
the superbowl is available to 1 billion people worldwide

unfortunately, A LOT of people are yawn not enthused about him
but i doubt Prince will be slack in his performance
he's gonna be changing their neutral faces to eek

cool

Champions league / Wimbledon / Tour de France. Just a few examples.
You nknow Europeans know shit about american football. They hardly know what it is. It is televised in the middle of the night as well which does not help.

Everyone of my friends in Europe, Asia, Africa, Israel, Guam, Ireland and other places, gets the Super Bowl. You must not own a television or can afford a tv guide. I promise you it is the most watched event in the world. Do you research and laugh then.

I've done my research and I'm laughing at some people's perception that just cos something's popular in the U.S. means that the whole world is interested. Superbowl is pretty high on viewing figures, but it's the U.S. viewers (cos there's a lot of them) that push that figure up. The vast majority of Europeans couldn't give a flying fuck about Superbowl and on the Worldwide scale, it's about as important as the Oscars which are also shown to many, many countries but doesn't mean that it gets record viewing figures. It matters not what channels it's aired on around the World, it's about how many people bother to watch it on those channels. Superbowl is pretty high on the list, but it's certainly not THE most watched event in the World and as I pointed out, the large figures are mainly U.S. based viewers.

i'm hard pressed to believe that Wimbledon (and i LOVE tennis), the French Open, and the Champions league (whatever that is) are bigger international draws than The Super Bowl. what do those events fetch for a 30 sec. or 1 min. commercial. superbowl ads go for 2 million easily for such spots. Even though the World Cup isn't as big here as it is in the rest of the world, we can still see it. i'm sure someone will youtube it.

Sports of all kinds are now "outscoring" the Watchtower whether it is tennis, football, or basketball, Jehovah's Witnesses are showing us more and more that real happiness is not found in the Watchtower's preaching work, but rather, in finding a career that really gives them some pleasure and pays their own bills, instead of paying all the bills for the Watchtower!
