Prince, The Time, and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis?

Did the Time ever allow Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis Produce any of the songs on there albums? It always seemed as though there were all produced by Prince. It seems as though The Times music really changed from their first album to their last. It just seems a shame that Jimmy and Terry were never allowed to write and produce any Time songs. Especially when you look at their success after the Time. Do Jimmy and Terry ever tour with the band any more?

They weren't technically the producers, but they were great at taken Prince's blue print and kickin ass. They were the strongest talent after Prince's band and in some cases better. You could say that for Jesse Johnson on guitar and Jelly bean on the drums were better until Prince SOTT band.
They were the "players" for Vanity 6's live set and then they performed their own set the 1999 triple threat.

The album progression was prince's progression though.
