Listen, I am sure some of you out there will understand where I am coming from...I can't help it!! I want to know the details of his life. I think he is fascinating and interesting. I want him to write an autobiography, in his own voice. I want to know!!!! I want to know more about his journey with music, the women he has loved, his ups, his downs, his spirituality. I know there are those out there who think it's over the top to want to know more than what the music tells, that it is simply none of anyone else's business. And, I get that, I understand that... but he really is just incredibly enthrawling. What has it all been about for him? What is his own personal story? I have been in t0o him for soo, sooooo long now. I would just like to know more. Anyone else?

I agree. It's my ultimate goal in life to talk to him and actually 'befriend' him and be one of the people he opens up to. I have everything I'm going to say to him when we meet all planned out. I am obsessed with talknig to him and knowing what he thinks, how much of what he does is just for fun to see what people's reactions will be, etc. The real PERSON, HUMAN BEING behind Prince.

I am equally obsessed with this notion.

There are lots of books on Prince's life to some are not very flattering but they are ALL true! I love him to death and started out as a fan late 70's early 80's he is indeed fastinating, and the finest thing I've ever seen.

WTF? someone wants Prince to write an autobiography and suddenly they're a stalker? maybe they sounded a bit over the top with the "be-friending" stuff but there is absolutely nothing wrong with wishing he'd write his own book. Plenty of people- as or more- famous than him have done it and I hope he does before my life is over (although I'm not holding my breath). Gets tiring reading other people's versions of his life. and yes, of course the music is his story but didn't I just recently see a lengthy thread elsewhere about whether or not he actually "shows" his real self in the music? (I'd like to think he does but there is obviously some debate on that) I happen to like to read, I happen to like autobiographies...check out a bookstore sometime you'll see tons of them, even have their own section. And if you don't think every single person on this site would be waiting on line overnight to buy a Prince autobiography the day it came out, you're just being silly. Instead of talking aftershows, we'd be talking "bookstore" parties.

I just said "whats up brotha", it was at a local club, after a concert in 2000, I had won passes to a VIP area from a radio station, it was very dark, a lot of people were witing for him to arrive, finally when no one was paying attentionl, I saw these dude walking towards me, I know his walk, strut, he had a long black coat on, it was freezing outside, I guess he was used to it, I had to say something, he looked up with those huge eyes and nodded.

WTF ?
A stalker is someone who stalks in other words they follow and chase and what not. We are just what you say .. infatuated, and obssesed. not stalkers. And Im pretty sure no could stalk Prince if they tried.
