Synopsis suggests it follows him up to the modern day. Examining his modern relevance etc:
Synopsis It is almost thirty years since Prince Rogers Nelson released his first album. In that time he has been a superstar; a recluse; an inspiration; an enigma; a slave; and a symbol. But throughout all these changes he has remained a prodigiously talented singer, songwriter, performer and musician. From the highs of "Purple Rain" and "Sign O' The Times" to the bitter quarrels and commercial failures of the 1990s, he has remained a compulsively creative force and a unique voice in rock, pop, soul or whatever music he turns his hand to. In this major critical biography, Brian Morton dissects the man behind the artist and shows emphatically why Prince still matters in the twenty-first century. Glug, glug like a mug

There was an ABBA documentary on TV in the UK over Christmas and I started to watch it as I do anything relating to ABBA. Within 10 minutes, I realised that I was going to be watching yet another re-hash of the same story so I switched it off.
I think this book will probably be the same. Unless Prince releases his own autobiography, or Per Nielsen/Uptown release another great book that concentrates on the music, I don't see the point of anybody buying this sort of book.

True but Alex Hahn managed to attract a big buzz with the last one. Wonder if this one will attract same attention? Brian similarly needs to signup for an account here perhaps... I've read a couple of "Prince" books, they're all the same eventually, not too flattering. No more for me!

yeah, new Prince book
Being a book worm, any new Prince book, good or bad is a bonus. An autobiography from the purple one himself would be just brill (i can only dream). Maybe 1 day- as long as he keeps bring out music, a book can wait. seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before
