Prince will win The Oscar if ..... ? The nominations for The Oscars will be announced tomorrow, and if Prince's song is in the competition, I really believe he'll win his second award. My reasons for this feeling is that the possible songs that will be in the category for Original Song for a Motion Picture are not that memorable or strong, and with his win of The Golden Globe, he has the name recognition and enough star power to influence the Academy voters. Here are the songs that he was up against for the golden Globes:
" A Father's Way " - Seal " Listen "- Beyonce " Never Gonna Break My Faith " - Mary J. Blige & Aretha Franklin " Try Not To Remember " - Sheryl Crow Since he is the writer and composer of the song, He is the only one eligible because the award only goes the credited writers of the song if it's not more than three people, which is why Beyonce is not eligible.
