Hey gang, just a quick question about the 2nd Celebration, why is it no one ever mentions it. I was lucky enough to go to the first one and even have the 3cd set, now I hear all this excitement about the "Xenophobia" celebration cd/dvd ready for possible release this November. Was the 2nd Celebration a bore??? Has there been any music or video footage floating around out there?? Just wondering. I truly hope the "Xenophobia" cd is a true item that will be available to all Prince fans (I mean fams) to enjoy

He played only 2 shows on the 2001 celly, and made a few guest appearances on other peoples sets. And the shows he played were sorta Hit N Run shows, and they aren't part of the best of his career.

I think the 2nd celebration was very cool. It was a step in the right direction. Although he didn't take the stage much, he did do some guest appearances and walk-thrus...

I thought the performers for year 2 were terrific..OMG, Erkah Badu and Common, HELLO!!! The TRC listening sessions were also magical and we were allowed to move about most of Paisley...

The Xcell shows were good, but not great. Both shows started VERY last which pissed off the locals who just bought tix for the shows and had to stand outside the stadium for hours after the "show time" as the soundchecks went on. The 2nd show was also sad as the stadium was nowhere near capacity...I have one of the Xcell show bootlegs and I know a number of bootlegs of the week were floating around.

Year 3 was clearly a dream come true for almost all who attended and outshines all previous celebrations. Year 1 has the 'romance' attached to it since it was the 1st celebration. I think year 2 just gets lost in the shuffle...

The second celebration sure beat the first one. He played two concerts, the second was the best and it was sort of cute the way he walked on stage unannounced with the other acts. I wonder if Prince can top the 3rd celebration? It was more than most of the fans expected.

Plus, he revealed The Rainbow Children in groups of facilitated discussion, dropping in on one or two of these groups, right? I thought this was the main focus?
