He doesn't sound fake, he just changes from one moment to the next.
Funny, though, I thought he was British when I first got 1999 way back when. In Automatic he says "Why do I love you so much" and it sounds like he has an accent. My Legacy

This is an interesting thread as I think most people will have some variation in how they speak depending on who they are addressing. I have lived in many places and am often asked where I am from because people cannot detect an "accent" with me. I guess I am truly a southerner, but being from the DC area I mostly ennunciate properly and often without an accent. I can put on a southern accent in certain circles, but ususally just talk like I always have.
My insanelaws are from NY and that can get really annoying when they all talk at once and loudly. | |

To be clear - No, he dosent fake an accent. He pops shit and uses alot of slang like millions of Black guys everywhere, everyday. And like most African Americans he prolly speaks better english depending on the business hes handling. Re: Miles, he may have said 'white'. I havent read the book in years.
