I fully expect Prince to be nominated and then win the Oscar for best Song.

During the Academy Awards they typically get the performers to do the song live.

In any case, he shouldn't have to worry about showing up on time to collect a trophy; the Best Song is usually quite a ways into the show; unlike the Golden Globes.

it'll probably be some stupid production number with CGI blue screen penguins or something - prince probably wouldn't even perform at the oscars...or else he'll have beyonce or that shelby chick sing it for him.

I think he deserves it. it was a great song for that movie.
