They are both great songs, but I've seen Prince perform Shh about 3 or 4 times now, and it blows me away every time. The guitar and drums in that song are outstanding! Shh wins for me...

As a live song, I prefer Shhh...the studio version sucks big time compared to all the fantastic and different live versions he´s performed over the years.
As a studio song, I Hate U is better..but I prefer the extended remix version with that deep bassline and the cool lyrics U gave a dog a place 2 bone and now your ass is all alone ! Classic ! Or : Ask me if I care, as me if I care it´s so little it´s like that feather in Forrest Gump floating thru the air, floating thru the air Great lyrics. He came up with some fantastic material back then, but most songs sounded much, much better live, like Now, Days Of Wild, the killer live version of 18 and Over, Shhh ( especially the NYC Palladium version from 1994 and the Beautiful Experience version....so much stronger as live versions). " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Eye Hate U, of course!!
Only the Purple One could make a song about HATE into a love song. He used alot of class in this song and still gets his point across. Example: he could have said,"my nasty little B _ _ _ _!" Instead of,"my nasty little Miss !

Tough pick. Shhhh, but only by a little bit - I like Eye Hate U, but it's ever-so-slightly overwrought and tougher to listen to over and over. Both are great songs though. I've seen the future, and boy it's rough...

I gotta go with the "both" crowd. They're both perfect 10's in my book.
