I one of those fans who pay close attention to the way a celeb looks (I notice everything!) and with all the hoopla over the way Prince's hair was (or was not) jacked up at the Globes, I was wondering:

What is your ideal way that you think Prince should wear his hair?

I have a couple:

ONE--If Prince insists on wearing his hair short like it is now, I really would love to see him bring back the highlights he had around 97-98. It'll add dimension to his hair without it looking so stark and flat in jet black.

TWO--Of if the color thing is not your cup of tea, maybe just a change in length would be good. Something at least to his shoulders would be a nice touch but nothing longer than that or he might start to look like Cousin Itt!

Well everyone "Get On The Boat". Tell me what you think Prince's hair should look like?

I always loved Prince wit long hair^^^^^ razz

Any way Prince wears his hair is fine by me. I like how he changes his looks, whether is be hair style, facial hair,or clothes. He alaways looks beautiful in my eyes, even my mom said he ALWAYS looks good. biggrin

The hair he's got now looks alright, but he's had it for bloody ever. Something new, Mr. Nelson, please!

My vote goes to

a)relaxed and long, a la Batman and GB

or

2) soft, natural curls, but something a little more out of the ordinary than just a plain baby 'fro. I'd die and go to heaven if he put two or three subtle little coloured beads in it. love

He needs an image overhaul.

He doesn't need to be a joke like Little Richard (sorry, Rich).

Really, he doesn't have to be that.

He needs a real clothing consultant and designer. And he needs to eat and tone like he was during Purple Rain when his body was fantastic. Meat please!

And yes, I'm on the record of saying if he has to have straight hair (although I'd prefer him natural) then wear long rock hair like during Griffiti Bridge.

In fact. ... go Rock period. In all ways. Especially musically. Enough of the schizophrenia. You are a rock star.

Some good points there but I think long hair is a bad idea....even women pushing 50 have problems with long hair because it either starts thinning or just isn´t that strong anymore, let alone a man whose father was partly bald.

I think he should go natural again and quit all the straightening that he´s been doing for way too long now. A curly hairdo would also benefit his hair and scalp a lot, and it looks much nicer on him, Prince´s curly hair was always part of his image. I never liked the long, straight hair from 1988-1990.

And speaking of an image change...long hair is kinda played out, the younger generation doesn´t really dig that look anymore. The androgynious black (or white) man is sooooo 1984.

I hate to say this cause I did love his long hair looks in the past but...I don't think he should do long hair again....just might look too much like he's trying to be younger again. Don't get me wrong...I wouldn't kick him outta bed over it or anything. lol

here's my favorite hair do!

I like it now too...short hair looks good on him biggrin

This is quickly becoming my greatest fear for Prince. I couldn't tell you anything about "Little Richard" or JB and their careers, but that they looked a mess. I am so afraid that MY Prince is going to end up in the same category. I'm afraid that eventually younger generations will disregard his achievements because he looks like a circus animal, and that will be their main focus. I think that would be a tragedy and WE can't let that happen.

How can we (his faithful fans) help him. He's so fuckin pig headed. Surely someone has told him to go SHORT (yeah I said it) enough for the long hair already. He's a black man. Black men don't have long hair (except for dreads maybe).

And....being a black woman who frequents the salon, I can tell you that the styles that he's wearing are not "what that is".

the long hair ..

I kind of appreciate the long hair. It's what made me into a fan. I saw P on a news show right around 98 or 99 and because of the long hair, I thought it was Michael Jackson. I flipped when I saw it was P and when he spoke. If it wasn't for that mistaken identity, I don't think I'd be a P enthusiast now.

PRINCEY, GET SOME EXTENSIONS NOW!!! I'll love you even more for it!
