"The B-Sides" I've been listening to the 3rd disc on that prince greatest hits collection, "The B-Sides", and was thinking, this disc could have made a GREAT stand-alone album.
There are some seriously classic songs on this disc! With a bit of trimming, and the right singles it could have done very well imo! Any1 agree? RIP 1958-2016 Prince RIP 1947-2016 David Bowie

There's no doubting the quality of the stuff on there, but it's kinda been thrown together...no real thought has been put into the tracklisting. I think the only section of the disc that works well is the last 5 songs or so, they seem to fit together quite nicely.

for me it was the first time i had heard the b sided(though im sure i must of heard erotic city coz it seemed familiar when i heard it) great pleasure to listen to,erotic city,17 days, shes always in my hair anotherlonely christmas are so good you'd think they'd have more of a featured place in prince's albums or singles in their own right Like a Gb Major with a E in the bass

I'm of the mindset that all greatest hits albums should be in chronologial order. Same with the "B-Sides" disc. Putting them in order shows growth and change IMO.

yeah 17 Days has to be on there... and I can't hear "Another Lonely Christmas" as a single.
Shockadelica is single material, certainly. If memory serves, wasn't it the planned first single from the "Camille" project?

Put it down to the quality of material in Prince's golden era: The b-sides could've been killer singles in their own right.
Some stoooopid track-order choices on The B-Sides though.

He could of released it as a 2 disc project as well (throw in the other b-sides and rare trecks like love or money, sex, get off-love left love right, horny pony, to whom it may concearn, rock and roll is alive and others as well). 17 days would been a big hit back in the day.
