Love this song to bits. I'm currently in the process of booking several flights, and damn if the song, "The Continental" didn't start playing in my head as soon as I logged into their website. This happens every time I go on Continental's website online, or see a their commercial. It's hard for me sit here at work and to not start singing this song out loud.

Should've been a single like planned, it's has hit-material written all over it.

7's the other single...The Continental release was planned though, it was even on the stickers on the early pressings of the album.

oh yeah i forgot about 7, i wouldnt care ive got it too, d'u think it would have been the full contintal song or d'u think the carmen rap would be taking out?, the version on crystall ball seems to me to suggest it would have been split with "how you wanna be done" as a b side

By the way i love Continental & i love the album ..... IMO it is P's last great album (not including compilations & NPGMC stuff) , then again that aint saying much as most albums since then have had there share of good & bad tracks , has loads of stand-outs & although in places its a bit dated i still love it!

The single edit of 'The Continental' missed off Carmen's rap, and the b-side
was going to be 'How U Want 2 Be Done' (an edit of the remix of this was later
included on Cystal Ball as 'Tell Me How U Wanna B Done'). There were several
remixes made which were intended for the maxi-single.

Other tracks intended for single release from the album were...

'The Max' (intended as the follow up to 'The Morning Papers', several remixes
were made for this as well)

I really liked the video! It's so different to see how his image has changed from back then..he was really sexual and pretty shocking..well, at least to me.. He REALLY put his sexuality on display seemingly very comfortably too..now he is so reserved, which in a way almost makes it sexier in a way you just want to rip off his clothes jump all over his proper self.. . But either way he still a sexy, sexy, sex stick.
