PRINCE & THE FACELESS WONDER DUET ON BAD?! I just read the FUNNIEST thing in a book about PRINCE, and just wanted to share it with u all.It's talking about his relationship with MJ.It goes...
"What about the rumoured duet between Prince and Michael Jackson on the 'Bad' single? 'The first line of that song is,"Your butt is mine",says Prince.'I said, who's singing that to whom?'Cuz you sure aint singing that to me.Right there we got a problem.'" Funny man!!! | |

Chris Rock asked Prince about this when he interviewed him back during the Emancipation era before the Roseland concert if I remember correctly. The way Prince was describing the whole situation was hilarious.
He was like the words to the song are: your butt is mine. Now,I said who is gonna be singing this to whom? Cause he (M.J.) sho' ain't singing it to me and I show ain't singing it to him so, right there we have problem. | |

I read in a book they met once at MJ's house or something.. and all prince did was hit on Latoya the whole time.
The funny thing I just listen to that song "BAD" is really aweful and I can not hear or read anywhere in the lyrics how or why that has to do with Prince?? why would he want him for the video? * if anyone can figure out in the lyrics why that saong has to do with Prince.. please help | |

I don't think the song had anything to do with Prince, it was just a rumour that the 2 of them were gonna do a duet on it.I think it was cuz at that time, they were the 2 male superstars, and he had already worked with Madonna.I think(altho I could be wrong) that there was nothing in it. | |

you know the funny thing is we know this is NOT a rumor from all people "Prince".. he did talk about it and the whole Bad Video in the Chris Rock Interview for VH1 chris rock asked about the rumors of the bad video.. and prince just came out and said problem with the lyrics & the wesley snipes character..

The funniest Prince/MJ tale I've ever read is in 'D.M.S.R.' by Per Nilsen.
Sometime in the mid-80's, Prince was invited over to MJ's house. His PA, at the time, recalls them both playing a VERY competitive game of ping-pong!!! Apparently, Prince was really going for it and - if I remember this correctly - even whacked the ball into MJ's crotch!! I would have DIED to be a fly on that wall! | |

As i recall, Quincy Jones wanted the collaboration between Prince and MJ. Quincy felt that MJ needed to work a little more swiftly on his CD's, and felt that working with Prince, known to be a prolific artist, to say the least, would inspire MJ to produce his songs more rapidly. Alas, Prince did the smart thing, and stayed away from that project.  Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind. | |

Eye've just read one of MJ's books tryin' 2 look 4 some info on Prince if he was in the book 4 some reason...which he was anyway~!!
the one line that was obvious..."Michael didn't like Prince..." Then they talked about WB's private screening of PURPLE RAIN which MJ attended...he got off at the last ten minutes of the movie...(Prince's performance of "Purple Rain" must have scared the hell outta him)...he went on 2 say,"Prince can't act. And he's so disrespectful to the ladies,like some of my relatives..."(AT LEAST YO' RELATIVES GOT DA LADIES~!!!) then there was the "JACK U OFF" incident...when MJ heard "Jack U Off"...he was puzzled at what the song was about(oh gawd...)...when he found out he was like,"What?!! Ain't that a lil' personal...how can he write stuff like that?!!(Because he's Prince~!!) Then the "Bad" incident...On Prince's first visit he gave MJ a gift of some feathers in a box...this apparently freaked the hell outta Jacko thinkin it was some kinda voodoo thang..."Oh Frank...(Frank Dileo,his personal assistant)he's gonna do sumthin'!!"(HAHAHAHA...THIS IS 2 MUCH~!!!) And finally when Prince rejected MJ's "Bad"...all MJ could say was "Figures..." His butt ain't yours,Jacko. Maybe Prince didn't work with MJ because he was afraid
MJ would buy the rights to his songs. That's what he did to Paul Mccartney after he befriended him and worked with him. So many people treat MJ like he is a God or something and he is such a creep. | |
