What's with the three chains of gold around his waist

I noticed this, but never really knew the significance if there is any??? It's sexy as hell but I'm just curious...Any thoughts or enlightenment would be welcome and appreciated...

I've also noticed that he frequently wears a matching shoe on each foot and (occasionally) a hat on his head.

The rumour is that they are all fashion accessories.
