What are y'all talkin' about? He's great! I especially liked that scene where he's screamin', and they lay him out on the table, and that big snake comes poppin' outta his chest, and...

wlcm2thdwn	I love the man too, but when he got shot and laid down and died saying his last lines in UTCM 19 years later I still wanna laugh.But he's soooo pretty!

Lord, that death seen was awful...but it was hilarious. I think Prince is a decent UNTRAINED actor. His anger scenes were very believable. I just hate watching those terrible kissing scenes. One moment his tongue is in her mouth and then it looks like he's giving her mouth-to-mouth rescuitation or trying to lick her cheek....he's totally raping her face, ewww. He's such a sloppy kisser.

Rhondab	he can't act but he had moments when you were like...oh wait....maybe...oh...ok...neva mind. I was ok with most of the angry little man scenes. He does that well. What I thought was funny was when I was watching the special features on Purple Rain and someone was saying that Apollonia had "acting experience". OH gosh.... and his kissing...oh gosh no...what was all of that about?

well thank you all for your input.. so....he is acting himself in the movie... based on the fact that his persona in reality is also an act...in a theatrical kind of way.. yes?

He looks bigger on screen (except when hes foreplaying behind Appolonia and her massive boobs... in my opinion he looks like hes climbing the back of a giant.. his arms are so short he can hardly reach around her!!)...

and what else... hes good in the angry scenes... when hes smashing things

and hes otherwise raping faces and being funny pretending to die...

I do love the man but i do agree that hes all of these things ..

overall i still say hes a good 'actor' on screen.. some of those more serious scenes in PR wouldve been very hard to do. i thought he did really well in the basement scenes around the time of the shooting etc.... and yes the script was terrible at times!!and yes.. they looked like mock pickles...ha!!
