Just got my latest order from NPGMC. It included the days of wild CD for five dollars, but its a three track. Was the give away version just one track?

1. DOW Single Edit
2. DOW full version
3. 1+1+1=3

All from the forthcoming live album, ONA.

This can work well, but prince tends to over do it.

The version of 1+1+1=3 is very different to the one on the NPGMC site. its 5.51 and seems to be the missing portion at the end of the NPGMC version. Its all vocal, as opposed to the mosty instrumental version on the site.

Its only 10.45 in the 3 track.

True, the 1 track giveaway version is 11:05,
though the last about 30 seconds is just feedback anyway,

Much as I like it, I have to say I still prefer the
Crystal Ball version. I just love the 'sound' of the
recordings of this song made with the original NPG
lineup. I miss all the triggered samples & loops,
you know, all the "ah-ah-ah" bits & "hold on 2 yo wigs!".

What with the single edit being mentioned, do you think that Days of Wild will be the first single?? It's a possibilty that I'd welcome as long as it's still funked out! Is it??

And for those that have heard it, do you think the single edit will have any impact - how good is it? Will those that have never heard any version of the song before (the radio listening public), start thinking that Prince's wild funk is back and nastier than ever?!

about the single edit...didn't he release disc of singles or whatever in canada...a 5 song disc or something? well, maybe DOW was/is/will be released as a single in canada.
Anji didn't say anything about airplay ZaZa...a song can be released as a single...regardless of if it get's played.

does anyone know if all of these versions say "sorry americans" in it? just wondering

new version. It's all pretty much played live
(with a few vocal overdubs).

One of my favorite versions of Days Of Wild is
the one where they kick off with the DOW loop, but
instead of going straight into the track they go
into a kick-ass version of Thank You (Faletin' Me Be
Mice Elf Again) first. I can't remember off the top
of my head where it was recorded. Anyway, any of the
live recordings from '94 with the original NPG were
the best.

I don't know what versions some of you have but on the Single edit and the concert mix the " Ah-ah-ah"s, "Hold on 2 yo wigs!" samples HAVE been added!!!

What was this released on I have the 94 version from PP, Welcome to the Beautiful Experience 13/02/94 ,but this sounds different.

ok, so i've changed my opinion of ovredubs. 'cuz i was listening to the celly give-away today and MAN it was missin' the AH-AH-AH and the HOLD ON 2 YO WIGS!!!
