No. Queens of the Stone age, Daft Punk, Mylo and David Bowie would beat Prince for most listens... probably a whole shed-load of other bands too.

Actually he was. I thought it would be Depeche Mode, but Prince beat those euro poofs to it. I think it's because of my love for the Parade album which was 20 years ago.

I'll keep the who was 2 myself thank you.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

I've been listening to Ruthus Wainwright for a while. His "poses" album is a true gem.I highly recommend him for people who are very demanding on their chosen songwriters.

I love Prince but this year I've been knocking The Mars Volta and Planet X. Two very talented acts. I saw the Mars Volta with The Red Hot Chili Peppers. TRHCP kinda let me down but TMV OWNS. It was my 3rd time seeing them. But yeah, give TMV a try if you like experimental, progressive rock, hardcore, psychedelic rock, latin, and free jazz then they may be the group for you. And see them live, one of the best shows you'll EVER go to!!!! Planet X is an experimental rock band, no vocals, one of the best drummers, Virgil Donati, play for them. These bands OWNED me this year!!!! I still knocked Prince too though.

Paul McCartney's newest CD really stayed with me all year, as well as Pearl Jam's new CD (self-titled).

I'd say that I listened to Black Sweat/The Word more than the rest of the album though.
