That's a tough one for me, but I'll take a stab:

Moonwalker is cool, but it's a collection of videos and short films. It's hard to judge most of Moonwalker on it's pure merits in light of what's happened to MJJ in the last 10 years. Speed Demon and Leave Me Alone are kinda like pedophile fantasies. Same with "Smooth Criminal".

And let's be real, the only cool thing about the "Smooth Criminal" featurette is the actual video part with the great dancing. I could do without the running with the kids, changing into an airplane, and the kids trying to reconnect with Michael.

Now Captain Eo, on the other hand...

As for Grafitti Bridge, I never understood it. It's too fantasy, gay in some scenes, and the stongest music scenes are in the 1st half of the movie. The movie starts with Morris trying to buy out the Kid for Glam Slam, the Kid had more financial and girl problems, and ends with everyone holding up Prince like he's on the cross and singing together. What did I miss in the plot it still doesn't make sense to me.

BUT I'VE ALWAYS HATED THE SCENE WHERE PRINCE CHALLENGES MORRIS (WHILE JELLYBEAN AND JESSE ARE HOLDING HIM) AND, ONCE THE SCENE'S OVER, PRINCE SMILES, JUMPS, AND THEN SKIPS OUT OF THE PICTURE!!!

So my verdict is...Grafitti Bridge. Mike's having too much fun with those kids throughout Moonwalker for me consider it entertaining.

I don't see the pedo thing in "speed demon" or "leave me alone" personally. Or "smooth criminal" for that matter.

Yeah, "GB" makes little sense. They just let Prince have Glam Slam and for what? He wasn't pulling in punters, yet they gave him the club anyway?

The scene with Michael and the kids does not play well now LOL. Pesci is great though. I never got the whole Mikes "lucky star" thing, but then, both movies had so many errors its hard not to laugh at them now.

I still go with "moonwalker". Its simply more enjoyable. The kid in "GB" is so boring LOL.

Now I enjoy a disposable piece of film as much as the next man, but as a Prince fan I find GB just too embarassing - the story, the production values, the music and the look were such a come down after the previous 5 years of watching Prince (I'm always surprised by the popularity of his look at this time - for me ther worst ever).

Moonwalker, which I saw at the cinema, - was just a pile of pap (although smooth criminal is a fabulous pop video - but hey that's what he did best).

I will die happily never seeing either 'film' again.

Yep. We owned a copy of "Moonwalker" so I've viewed it more than GB which I've only seen about 3 times. lol But they're both pretty crappy.
I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

MMM, tough call. It has been a while since I have seen Moonwalker. I watched GB like two weeks ago.

I am going to go with Moon Walker for the simple fact it looked like someone took time to sit down and edit the damn thing. GB is near MST3k quality.

Whats MST3k? Yeah, the editing in "GB" is horrible, but apparantly, they cut quite alot out. Fuck knows why? It can't have been that terrible what they cut out?

Honestly I don't know what gets into you people... Price and Prince projects are a reflection of him and his mindset at the time... why woulg anyone compare grafitti Bridge with Moonraker. One is a Musical the other a James Bond Flick.

Actually I never did understand GB. As with Moonwalker, I've seen that film at least a thousand times--seriously--and have it in my room right now with all my OTHER MJ video tapes. The thing is GB and PR and all of Prince's movies are kind of just stories that came out of his head (though I heard that PR was partly biographical) while Moonwalker is kind of a big retrospective of Michael's career (circa 1988) where he's been and where he's going. The closest we've gotten to that with Prince is "The Hits" volume 1 DVD.

I'd like to see something like that from my "skinny motherfucker with the high voice"!
