Prince looks fresh in his homburgs. I particularily liked Prince's look + the Homburg he wore when he performed 'The Ballad of Dorothy Parker'. That was fresh!

Just in case some people don't know what a Homburg is, here is a little description:

The Homburg is one of the oldest formal style hats and was favored by ambassadors and presidents in the 1930s and 1940s. This hat has a crown dented front to back with a stiffened brim turned up at the sides. This dressy hat is best coordinated with a dark suit, jacket or coat. The Godfather as it is also referred to, was made popular by many legendary ganster/mafia movies made in Hollywood. The biggest names in the world of hip-hop brought it back into style in the late 1990s and is still popular with muscians, artists, and entertainers today.

Fred Williamson also looked pretty fresh wearing his grey Homburg in the movie 'Black Caesar'

Prince wears a fedora in the video for 'When Doves Cry', I think he is wearing a fedora in the One Nite Alone pic as well, but it is not made of a hard felt but rather a soft felt, therefore you can change the shape on it slightly.
