Next to Endorphinmachine, this is the best track on Gold.

It is so undertated in its simplicity that it just stands out. To this day, it really doesn't sound like anything else he has recorded (IMO).

What do you all think?

I love the song and am actually kinda surprised it doesn't get mentioned much at all. Nice acoustic piece that fits TGE perfectly in my opinion.I'm glad to see somebody else likes it too.

It's a very picturesque song. It is like a narrative cross between Joy in Repetition and Rasberry Beret (IMO).

If he releases an acoustic album (discounting The Truth), this is a song that NEEDS to be there.

Yeah,I can see those comparisons. I belive I once read a reviewer of the song comparing it to Darling Nikki as well.I can see that too.
Also.it would've worked great during the acoustic portion of the Musicology tour.Maybe it would have been included if more people made mention of it.

Rasberry Beret (a pop favorite)
Darling NIkki (fan/pop culture fave)
Joy in Repetition (a fan fave)

It's a cool song. And no drums whatsoever!

It kinda flew right over my head when I first listened to the album...it's a strange one. It's by far the most original song on TGE though and does deserve a bit more attention.

Yes, I loved Shy from the very beginning.

Cool intro...those sound of footsteps turning into the tempo.

"and Cooool, dark-skin, hot-VIRGIN white" struck me like lightning.

So my question is this: what part does P play in this song? Is he the "lone dog" or "the shy tuff girl"?
