Say What!?!? Illusion, Coma, Pimp & Circumstance I was listing to this on my ipod, at about the 2:21-2:23 mark when Prince sings "in exchange for the finance" i swear he says in the backround "a blow job" now is he really saying that or is just me who's hearing that. Because Ziggy says there's a 99% chance it's just becase i'm a pervert (high five for whom ever get's the ziggy comment)

roflmao, it does sound like it, yes. but i'm sure it's more like
"you did a good job". although, there was a 'pussy' mention in Madrid 2 Chicago wasn't there? perhaps it's just an older song and he didn't clean up on the backingtapes too well, lol. on a sidenote, this song grates on my nerves. i haven't listened to it in two years and searching for the 2:21 time mark reminded me why. can't believe i thought this was a cool track at first.. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I gotta listen closer. | |

I can't quite make it out; It may say something about 'blow job' but it sounds more like 'to have a real job' or something to me.
There is the lyric of 'pussy' in Madrid 2 Chicago though. Though I am always surprised about people finding dirty lyrics on Prince's post-JW songs - Muse 2 The Pharaoh on TRC has lyrics about using a sex-toy on his woman, for heaven's sake!

It does sounds like what you said, but I think it's "get a real job." We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I'll have to listen to that again.
BTW, does anyone know what this song is about? "Plaid shorts are completely over."

its not called "Illusion" by coincidence.
he says "finance" that sounds like "fine ass"

Don't you mean Mellow? I know what you're saying though. That song is dirty as hell. Prince talks about wanting to make his woman wet and describes her using a vibrator on herself. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

BTW, does anyone know what this song is about? This song is about a rich woman hiring a gigalo/toy boy. He gives her sex, she pays for everything. This is why to me this song quickly wears thin - it's a pretty ugly story and it's so stripped down musically that it doesn't stand upto repeat plays.

Prince seems to have been going for an intentionally retro, garage sound, but that makes the song a little annoying for me if I hear it too often. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

I remember when a girlfriend pointed out the P-U-S-S-Y chant in the background of New Position (another great song that does not get enough love on the org!)

I had figured that much out metalorange, I should have phrased my question differently. You get a kiss for being so sweet tho. What does everyone think it means in relation to Prince? Autobiographical in anyway, or just a story about the f-ed up lives of two made up people. Hmmm...wonder along with me... "Plaid shorts are completely over."

Kind of depressing. But I do like dancing to it.

hmmm. It's "you did a good job" I think.
But I can confirm pretty accurately that on "Jack U Off", he said "I'll Jack U off"

But I can confirm pretty accurately that on "Jack U Off", he said "I'll Jack U off" I always thought he was singing about him being Russian. "I'm Jack Yuovv, Jack Yuovv" Surely he wasn't saying Jack U Off. That would be scandalous! "Plaid shorts are completely over."
