Alternate Movie Soundtracks? A while back, some of you might have heard how Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" plays as an alternate soundtrack for the "Wizard of Oz"; but did you know that virtually ALL music is made to "synch" to a movie (and usually the same movies).
I created a free eBook for downloading at my site for anyone that wants it. Being an initial Prince fan (my collection stopped around his Greatest Hits 3-pack); but for The Org, I figured that I would list my Prince CD collection and the accompanying movies. Believe it or not, he usually sets the standard for all other groups (usually the first one in line). The book contains the setup, hints to look for (listen to), as well as background on how other bands "stole/borrowed" his lyrics for the same movie synch and also a decade-long homage to the packaging for Controversy (in which the bands also synched to the same movie). For You = Wizard of Oz Prince = A Clockwork Orange Dirty Mind = The Exorcist I (original version) Parade = Apocalypse Now (original version) 1999 = Blade Runner Controversy = Cat People Purple Rain = The Neverending Story Around The World In A Day = Rambo 2 Batman = Rambo 2 Sign O' The Times (Disk 2) = Rocky 4 Sign O' The Times (Disk 1) = Predator LoveSexy = Rambo 3 Graffiti Bridge = La Femme Nikita The Hits/B-Side (Disk 2) = Terminator 2 - Special Edition Heaven Must Be Near (from Belgium) = The Exorcist III The Hits/B-Side (Disk 1) = The Exorcist III The Hits/B-Side (Disk 3) = Total Recall The 150-page (read-only) eBook can be downloaded for free at: http://www.deconno.com It contains music from all different genre, not just Prince; but ignoring most of today's "new" music (as I'm not a fan of most stuff on the radio today). Remember: seeing is believing; before discounting this as a joke give one of them a try. P.S. There's even a couple Sheila E. in the book. | |
