We should all boycott him if the doesn't. He owes it to James, since he steals most of his moves from him.

That's the great thing about freedom of speech ... people can start all sorts of dumb threads on message boards.

Naw, he didn't go to the funerals of either of his parents or his sister so, for him to show up at James Brown's funeral would be kinda weird to me.

giving opinions is one thing, telling people to shush is another. I think the way Wonder has put her words sounded like it.

that's your interpretation of wonders words....she didn't shush you.

Not me, but someone else and IN MY OPINION, telling someone to get a grip is closer to ask him or her to shut up. I was just defending someone else's point of view.

Aren't we all judging him over all kind of things that have nothing to do with us? None of us know him personnally to judge him, we all speak as fans noticing petty or important details. Whatever is important to me, might not to be to others and vice versa. Instead of telling fans to get a grip, I just don't answer to their thread because they're entitled to their "freedom of speech" . What you gonna do? Pass a new law to the senate?

Yes, and it IS MY OPINION that telling someone that they SHOULD attend a funeral or else it's bad is being judgemental. IT IS ALSO MY OPINION that people mourn different ways. I used the term 'get a grip' because the poster is indicating that how they mourn, or their belief on how to mourn, is the only right way, which IN MY OPINION is not right.

Whoever wants to disagree with me are more than welcome to challenge me on it.
[Edited 12/29/06 12:26pm]

You can express your OPINIONS as much as you want, I really don't mind. But telling people not express their opinion when you can express yours is AGAINST freedoom of speech. You didn't tell me to shush but you told someone else and I took his defense, the same way you ALWAYS defend Prince. Every time, someone expresses something, you got tell them litterally that they're wrong. I find you being judgemental and that's my OPINION. WHat you gonna do? Ask me to shush this time...

Where the fuck did I write in my post that people cannot express their opinion! Do you have a hard time reading? Where did I tell anyone to shush?!

and if you know how to fucking read, which you obviously have a problem with, you would see that my post is not only about Prince but about anyone of us. Like I said in my post, many of us don't attend funerals, for whatever personal reasons. I didn't attend my own father's funeral. My point is to 'get a grip" and realize that your way of mourning or paying respect, is not the only right way. anyone could have easily taking me up on the argument.

Seems to me that because YOU don't like my response you're being a hyprocrite, inventing things I said, trying to make me feel about about my response...so much for freedom of speech.

Truth hurts. Usually when one uses bad language or become aggressive just like you are now, is because they have no words left to defend themselves against what they don't want to admit. Someone had to put you back into your place and I did. If I was a hypocrite, I wouldn't have taken the stand.

You always defending Prince and criticizing what people say. End of story

oh keep dreaming, lol not only are you a hypocrite, (talking about freedome of speech but not wanting people like me to express my opinion), you're also a liar (I asked you three times to show me where I stated that people can't express their opinions, or to "shush" and you have yet to show me that.) and now, you create these fantasies in your head of you putting people in their places....how pathetic. if that's what makes you feel better.

I stand by my statement, not everybody attends funerals, and to assume that people have to attend because that is the only way to mourn is being judgemental. Whoever attends, or not attend, its their individual/personal choice.

and by the way, you don't know...i say fuck alot. wink

I didn't say I had anything against your statement, I said I had a problem with the way you disagree with people.
I paraphrased the comment "take a grip" or "hold up, you guys (In the other thread) and stated that you always take Prince's defense no matter what.
I didn't need to use bad language, call you names or even edit my posts (like you did I can't count how many times), I went straight to the poing and you took it wrong because you were wrong at the first place.
I know you're enraged but I'm more than relaxed right now.

I'm not the only one to think what I think of you but for an hypocrite, I'm doing darn good sending you back where you belong.

I don't edit anything because I don't make up anything, I might be paraphrasing but all my real words are there. Don't tell me what is worse when you're showing all your posts with an EDITED on it.

Prince has always shown respect for JB over the years in his music and by just performing so whether or not he attends the funeral is his choice alone to make.

So?? You ain't nobody! If you want to take the time to wait for my next move, that's your problem, you're not going to change the way I express myself cuz you ain't shit to me.

Oh and you're second sentence is so immature. the mayte thread has over 100 posts and I posted what...2 or 3 comments. you're acting like I was an active participant with numerous comments..I have nothing more to say on that matter. should i make something up, like you do?

this reply is just plain stupid and immature and I'm going to end it here. you can reply with more immature nonsense.
